“CULTURE eats Strategy for breakfast” and other insights from EMCC 2024 conference in Netherlands

The EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) global conference is an annual event with the aim of international networking, niche knowledge and experience exchange. Last year, the conference was held in Prague, Czech Republic, where You Inspire had also had a pleasure to participate.

This year we travelled from Cyprus to the Netherlands, and spent 3 amazing days 27-29 June diving deep into the “Critical issues, challenging perspectives” topic.

Here are our top 3 takeaways from this year Conference:

  1. Cutting-Edge Insights: learned about the latest and greatest trends in human development that are destined to transform coaching as we know it📚💡

For instance, Businesses’ top 5 skills priorities for 2027 are:

  • Analytical thinking
  • Creative thinking
  • AI and big data
  • Leadership & Social influence
  • Resilience, flexibility and agility

You Inspire team was very proud to realise that our corporate programs cover 4 out of 5 future skills priorities in businesses human capital development (more info – > www.youinspire108.com “Services/ Corporate outreach & Education”). AI is to be discovered soon as well.

2. Inspiring Keynote Speakers: felt incredibly inspired by the wisdom shared by astronaut Andre Kuipers, HR Director Corina Breban, Global CEO & transformational leader Peju Adebagu, extraordinary Chef Erling Rugsten and other speakers. Their stories of resilience and leadership were out of this world! 🚀📖 Literally 😎 See attached the photos from outer space presented by Andre, he empowered us to look at the world from a totally different perspective.

3. Format & Hands-On Learning: engaged in game-changing round-table reflections that provided practical tools for a deeper comparative analysis. The format of the conference was surprising and honestly delightful. Keynote speaker prepared a 1-1.5 hour Ted-style presentation. During the speech he/she made 2-3 breaks, offering the audience a question for discussion (15 minutes “round-table discussion”). Each table had 6-9 participants from all over the world.

Such format provided with diverse Perspectives on the following topics: the Speed of AI & Implications, key drivers of job change, mental well-being, equipping the Labour Force of the Future, times of fundamental uncertainty, addressing inequality etc.

We gained valuable insights into the challenges and trends in different regions :from Australia to Latin America 🌐

Now, we are feeling rejuvenated and ready to implement these new strategies.

Stay tuned for more updates and deep dives into Human Development learnings! 🙌🏼
