Unspoken expectations, unclear values, blurred responsibility, and the absence of clear agreements are not minor issues.
They are exactly what lead teams into hidden conflicts, interpersonal tension, and slow decision-making.
All of this can be addressed through one powerful tool – contracting.
Contracting is not a legal contract. It is a HUMAN one🤝🏻
It is a clear and structured conversation where people align their understanding of roles, boundaries, responsibilities, decision-making and values – and create a shared vision of HOW THEY WORK TOGETHER.
When this shared vision exists, assumptions disappear, – so do guessing, silent frustrations and constant power struggles.
👉🏻 Trust grows, friction decreases, and execution becomes faster and cleaner.
Contracting works not only in business teams, but also in personal life.
It begins with contracting with yourself – understanding your own values in life and work. From there, it naturally extends to family systems: money, children, partnership roles, property, development — clarifying in detail who does what, how, and with what understanding of the future.
The same principle applies inside teams, simply at the level of working and leadership culture.
Had I not started applying contracting deliberately and consistently in my own work few years ago, I would not have been able to build anything sustainable.
In 2025 alone, I established clear contracting relationships with:
- 14 independent professional coaches
- my entire core team
- 4 international organisations
- and around 25 additional specialists and institutions
This helped surface misalignment early, neutralise risks around expectations, and build stable, high-trust collaborations.
All agreements are working well.
There were no conflicts.
Not because disagreements never appeared, but because misalignment was addressed early. And when values did not align, we separated respectfully and without damage to either side. This is also the strength of contracting: it allows you to see early when your directions are different – without holding on and without destroying value through tension.
Contracting is a narrow coaching and advisory niche – and, according to feedback, my superpower.
Very few professionals work in this space because it feels complex and unclear how to approach it.
For me – it is clear, structured and genuinely engaging.
I work with owners, boards, and C-suite teams where the real challenge is not strategy or competence, but alignment, shared clarity and how people actually WORK TOGETHER.
